A few years ago (14-15 years old), I discovered an old jewelry box in my grandmother's belongings; each piece had its own narrative, an intimate connection to its past.
Until I left home, my sister and I had always worn my grandmother's jewelry, she said it accentuated femininity and brought out our naughty side, my grandmother is naughty. 2 years ago, the last time we were separated, she gave me jewelry again. Today I am a big girl, a young woman and jewelry is still a part of me, it is my education that gives me this habit but personally I see the shine on my face, my handles and my fingers when I wear them.
This is where the idea of creating CYCY took root in order to share my heritage.
